Lookah is the definition of a perfect gentleman. With his happy, laidback personality, he’s been an absolute joy to get to know—and it’s easy to see why everyone falls for him so quickly! While Lookah has a gentle, playful side and enjoys getting out for regular exercise, he’s just as content soaking up affection and enjoying life’s quieter moments. He has a calm, easygoing presence that makes him a wonderful companion both out on walks and relaxing at home. This smart boy already knows several cues like sit, down, and shake, and he walks beautifully on leash. He also appears to be potty trained, keeping his space nice and clean, and we suspect he may be crate trained as well—he’s often found curled up on his bed, perfectly content during his downtime. Lookah came to us as a stray, so we don’t know his full history with other animals. However, he’s been friendly with dogs he’s met here, though he can be a bit cautiously confident around other large male dogs. We’re always happy to set up a meet-and-greet to ensure a good match! One of Lookah’s standout qualities is how tolerant and easygoing he is—he enjoys handling and has even been a star student helping with veterinary technician training. He truly lives up to his “good boy” reputation. Lookah’s finder stated that he seemed fearful of men. Though we have not seen this behavior in shelter, he may be shyer towards men - needing a moment to get to know them better! With his thoughtful nature, loving personality, and great manners, Lookah is the kind of dog who will fit beautifully into many different homes.
