Meet Ares — built for adventure, wired for loyalty, and always ready to move.
At 3 years old, this Belgian Malinois is everything the breed promises: intelligent, athletic, and deeply devoted to his person. Ares isn’t here for a boring life—he’s looking for someone who shares his energy and enthusiasm for the world. Trail run at sunrise? He’s already at the door. Treadmill session on a rainy day? He’s pacing, ready to go. Wherever you’re headed, Ares is all in.
He’s the kind of dog who turns everyday moments into something bigger. Car rides are an event. Walks are a mission. And while he can get a little excited and pull on leash, he truly shines off-leash—naturally falling into step, heeling right by your side like he was born to do it. Ares is more than just athleticism—he’s got heart. He’s a classic “leaner,” pressing into you for affection, soaking up every bit of connection he can get. After a day of adventure, he’s happiest curled up on his dog bed—or better yet, right next to you.
Brains? He’s got plenty. Ares already knows sit, down, stay, off, and heel, and he thrives when given structure, guidance, and something to do. He’s house trained, crate trained (though he’d much prefer not to be crated), and sleeps soundly through the night right by your side. He enjoys toys and playtime, though fair warning—he’s more into the “keep away” game than fetch. Sharing isn’t exactly his favorite skill, but hey, nobody’s perfect.
Ares has lived with kids and genuinely enjoyed their company. He gets along with other dogs, though he tends to like being the “top dog” in the group. Cats are still a mystery to him. Ares is looking for an active, confident home that will embrace his drive, continue his training, and give him the life he’s built for—one full of movement, purpose, and connection.
If you’re not just looking for a dog, but a partner in adventure… Ares is waiting.
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training and grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters.
