What my friends at OHS say about me:I have been working with the Behavior team at OHS and I'm looking for a special home. It will take time and patience to get to know me. You can use my favorite toys or treats as positive reinforcement and to teach me new things. I already know some basic cues such as, sit, down, wait, touch, retrieve, & crate and I'm putting in the work to learn how to walk nicely on leash!High Energy: I can become easily frustrated if my physical and mental exercise needs are not met. I will need positive outlets and a calm environment to help me flourish.I am used to living an active lifestyle! I would love to get up and go adventure with you. Looking to try cool dog activities or sports? I am a great partner for that!Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.Resource Guarding: I have a history of guarding my people, food, toys and/or bedding from other animals or people.I really enjoy the company of my human friends.The type of home I'm looking for:I had so much fun meeting other dogs here in the shelter.
