Meet Juniper!Juniper is an 8-year-old Akita weighing about 76 pounds, and she’s a beautiful, thoughtful girl with a gentle soul. While she may be a bit reserved at first, that’s just because Juniper likes to take her time getting to know new people and surroundings. She truly blossoms with patience, and once she feels safe and comfortable, her sweet and affectionate personality begins to shine through.Juniper would do best in a calm, predictable home where her adopter understands that building trust is a process. She appreciates a slower pace and enjoys having a safe space to retreat to when she needs a break. Because of her sensitive nature, we are recommending a home with children ages 13 and older who can respect her boundaries and give her the space she needs to feel secure. When it comes to other animals, Juniper has shown that she may be uncomfortable around other dogs and would likely prefer to be the only dog in her forever home, where she can soak up all the attention.
