HOW TO ADOPT: This pet is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this pet, please email apurvis@arl-iowa.org.---- Can be very uncomfortable and somewhat fearful with new people and situations, but has been gaining confidence and has a lot of potential; looking for patient, mature people who will give him extra time to settle in and continue to help him with confidence-building - Once he is comfortable, he enjoys spending time with the people he knows and trusts- Kids can be too much for him right now, especially young, noisy or busy ones, or those not old enough to understand and respect when he needs his personal space- Sometimes isn't sure how to act around other dogs and can be socially awkward, but he may do OK with like-minded dogs (dog intro recommended) - We don't know his history with cats All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed.
