At 5 years old, Lazy Skittles is officially retiring from motherhood after lovingly raising her final litter. Now that her puppies have all found their forever homes, itās her turn to be the one spoiled and cherished.
Skittles is searching for a calm, adult-only homeāsheās decided sheās all set with the hustle and bustle of kids and is ready to enjoy a more peaceful lifestyle. She has a friendly, happy personality that shines once she feels safe, though she can be a bit shy and submissive at first.
Because of her sensitive nature, Skittles will need a securely fenced yard where she can feel safe and explore at her own pace. She would also thrive in a home with other confident, friendly dogs who can help show her the ropes and teach her how wonderful āthe good lifeā can be.
With a little patience and a lot of love, Lazy Skittles will blossom into a loyal, gentle companion whoās ready to spend her days relaxing by your side.

Fine Print: All dogs of NWMNAR are screened at the headquarters in Ada, Mn until they are vetted. They are then transferred to foster homes throughout MN and some into ND so they can get used to lifestyles with a family in a home. Adoption fee for an adult dog is $300 + Mn tax. Adoption fee for a dog over 3 years of age is $300 + Mn tax., pup/dog1 year to 3 years is $400 + Mn tax. Under 1 year of age $500 + Mn tax.

Because NWMNAR is not a public shelter, meet and greets do not take place until an application has been approved and a home visit has been completed in person or virtually. Meet and greets will take place in a public setting along with the adoption if compatible. Dogs can be met in Ada, MN weekday and weekends, or in our alternate office location in Maple Grove, MN on weekends only.
