Chapo is an 8-year-old pit bull terrier with a larger-than-life presence and an even bigger heart. With his strong build and serious expression, he can look a little intimidating at first—but don’t let that fool you. This handsome “meathead” just needs a few minutes to warm up, and once he does, you’ll discover a sweet, affectionate, and loyal companion.
Once Chapo knows you’re a friend, he absolutely soaks up attention. He’s a big fan of pets, butt scratches, and playtime with his favorite toys. Whether he’s proudly showing off his skills or just leaning in for love, he’s happiest when he’s spending time with his people.
Chapo is housetrained and has successfully lived with other dogs in the past. Because he can be a bit cautious at first, he’ll need to meet everyone in the home before adoption to make sure it’s a good fit.
