Meet sadie
Sadie is a 4-year-old dog we adopted from a farm two years ago as our second dog. She is an absolute sweetheart with people—very affectionate, loves being close, and always wants to be part of whatever the family is doing. She thrives on human attention and enjoys being petted and cuddled.
Sadie has also done well in dog boarding environments, where she has been around other dogs without any issues. However, in our home, it has been challenging for her to coexist with our older dog (9 years old). Sadie can become jealous when we give attention to our older dog—she often tries to push him away and has shown aggression toward him. Unfortunately, this has led to a few incidents where she bit him. From what we’ve observed, this behavior is specific to our home dynamic and seems driven by her desire to be the center of attention. Because of this, we truly believe Sadie would do best in a home where she is the only dog, so she can receive the one-on-one attention she craves.
