Meet ladybird
Unfortunately, it absolutely breaks my heart, but we need to try to find Ladybird a better home. She needs someone who can work with her, as she’s very nervous around other people. She needs a home with no other pets, and no children. She does okay with our kids who know her and respect her space, but has zero tolerance for other children. She does fine with our cat, but tries to go after the strays in the area. Strangers make her nervous, but especially children/men. She is a very good and sweet girl, but lack of socialization as a puppy has become her biggest obstacle. She and Dixie (our other female) tolerate each other but do not care for each other, sometimes leading to fights. She just needs a special person who can give her the proper patience and time to build her confidence. I am willing to do a long term adoption so she can transition easier and learn she can trust her adoptee. She is my protector and best friend. But I realize I need to do what’s best for her.
