Frances Buckley is a 6-year-old Husky/Malamute mix with a story that could have ended very differently.
He was just hours away from being euthanized at a high-kill shelter in Los Angelesādespite a heartfelt surrender letter from his owner describing what an incredible dog he is. His only āmarkā against him? He once snapped at a stranger who approached his owner at nightāprotecting his mama. No skin was broken. But in overcrowded shelters, even a moment like that can become a death sentence.
We couldnāt let that be the end of his story.
Thanks to an incredible foster, Amanda, who stepped up without hesitation, Frances Buckley is now safeāand we are forever grateful. We truly cannot save dogs like him without committed fosters opening their homes and hearts.
And what weāve learned since rescuing him?
Frances is everything we hoped he would beāand more.

āØ He is loyal, gentle, and deeply connected to his people
āØ He has a calm, soulful presence that makes you feel safe
āØ He is settling beautifully into home life and learning to trust again
āØ He will also be receiving professional training to help set him up for long-term success
