Beyond his playful personality, Duke is a very smart boy. He already knows several commands, including sit, stay, lay down, come, and down. He is also crate trained and housebroken, making him a great fit for a home ready to welcome a well-mannered pup. Because of his high energy level and love for movement, Duke would thrive in a home with plenty of space for him to run and stretch his legs.

BEHAVIOR NOTES:
Per volunteer 4/15: Low energy, very good boy.
Per volunteer 4/12: Medium-high energy.
Per volunteer 4/10: Low-medium energy. Super sweet guy who loves to play and jump around. Very curious about other dogs and wants to be social.
Per volunteer 4/9: Medium-high energy. Pro fetch player. Doesn't pull on leash. Jumps in air when excited. Nervous from all the barking but very easy other than that.
Per staff 4/9: Based on behaviors observed making Exp Gold. Mildly pulls on leash and can be jumpy. He's a star at fetch and bringing it back.
Per volunteer 4/8: Medium energy. Jumpy when excited. Easy to walk. Tail tucked in kennels and he seems nervous and opens up outside.
Per staff 4/7: A little nervous. Just hung out people watching. Allowed light petting. Needed to step in to return to kennel.
Per owner surrender notes 4/6: Duke has been in the home for about one month. He was surrendered due to family allergies. He is described as happy, playful, and friendly, and lived with adults and children. He is mostly housebroken with some accidents and is crate trained. He has high energy and enjoys frisbee and balls. He knows the commands sit, stay, lay, come, and down. He walks on leash three times a day. He is friendly toward strangers and children. He barks at and is playful with other dogs. He has not been around cats. He may need space for running.
