Meet benson
I rescued this sweet boy on April 2 because he was about to be euthanized. We’ve been calling him Benson, and he’s already starting to respond to his new name. I have three other dogs, so he can’t stay with us permanently, but I couldn’t let him be killed just for being a high-energy, neglected, and most likely abused young dog. Benson is incredibly sweet and needs a lot of TLC, ideally from someone who can give him one-on-one care and attention. He’s been great around other people, but I think he’d thrive best in a home where he’s the only pet for now.
Benson was heartworm positive in January, but he’s received his shots and treatment, and just needs a retest next January along with monthly preventives. One of his shots will protect him for a whole year. He absolutely loves being brushed and loved on, and he let us bathe and dry him right after rescuing him, showing no signs of aggression- he really appreciated being cared for.
