**Meet Maddox 💙** Blind**

Who is Maddox? Oh, he is a super fun, playful boy who loves other dogs. He is extremely smart and learned the doggie door on the first day at the babysitters. He learned the lay of the house and yard within 24 hours, with the help of his doggy friend Sofia.

Maddox is a truly special boy with a story that will tug at your heart. Found wandering the streets of Mexico, Maddox suffered a traumatic head injury that left him blind. Because of that, the world can feel like a scary and unpredictable place to him—and he’s learned to be cautious about who he trusts.

But here’s the beautiful part…with time, patience, and a lot of love, Maddox *does* learn to trust.

His foster family spent a couple of weeks going slow—gentle voices, calm movements, and lots of tasty treats—and it paid off. Maddox has started to blossom and is now his foster parent’s little shadow. He’s asking for snuggles (yes, your heart will melt), and loves to play with other dogs.

Maddox is looking for a **very special adopter**—someone who understands that the first week (or two) will require patience, consistency, and kindness while he settles in and learns he’s safe. Once you earn his trust, you’ll have a deeply loyal and loving companion.

**Maddox’s ideal home:**

* Adult-only home (or older kids, as sudden movements can scare him)
* Patient, calm adopter willing to go at his pace
* A structured plan for potty training (he’s still learning leash skills)
* Someone open to continuing his routine

Maddox doesn’t need perfection—he just needs someone willing to give him a chance. A soft place to land. A person to show him that not all humans are scary.
