Gunner is a playful, affectionate, and energetic dog who loves people and thrives on attention. He is highly food-motivated, alert, and will let you know when he needs to go outside. Despite a rough start in life, he has blossomed into a loving companion. Personality: Affectionate and playful Loves to eat Energetic, enjoys outdoor activity Smart and alert – responds to e-collar training Can be a digger and jumper when unsupervised Living Situation: Currently kenneled at night Has access to the yard during the day Previously lived chained up, now fully enjoys freedom Compatibility: Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs, very friendly Cats: Tolerates and sometimes wants to play Children: Excellent with kids, no issues reported Special Considerations: Gunner was underweight and treated for Lyme disease in 2023; healthy since He was initially gun-shy but has adapted to hunting and can track birds well, but he may choose whether or not to hunt on any given day Fence jumper – needs supervision when outside; has jumped a 5 ft chain link fence for fun No separation anxiety or bite history Ideal Foster Home: Gunner needs a home where he will be supervised outdoors and given plenty of attention and exercise.
