Summers County Humane Society Say hello to Athena — a German Shepherd/Hound mix with a heart as big as her adorable puppy paws! This sweet girl has shown what a wonderful family companion she’s going to be. Athena gets along beautifully with kids, cats, and other dogs — she’s social, loving, and happy to be part of the pack! She can be a little rough with smaller children, as she is still learning her size. Athena is working hard on her crate training and is doing amazing — she keeps her crate clean and doesn’t potty in it (smart girl! ). She’s learned all the good puppy basics and is eager to please. With consistency and love, she’s going to grow into an incredible companion. Like any younger pup, Athena has playful energy and curiosity, but she also has that sweet, snuggly side that melts your heart. Whether she’s romping around the yard or cuddling up after a long day of adventures, she’s happiest being near her people.
