Meet rooster
Hi, I’m Rooster,
I’m a fun-loving, beautiful mostly Husky mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart! I’m a playful 2–3-year-old boy who’s just as happy heading out for a long hike or jog as I am curling up beside you for a movie on the couch.
I walk great on a leash, although I have to admit I get pretty excited when I spot deer, turkeys, squirrels, or other wildlife along the gravel roads where I currently live. I also like to bounce around and play with my foster dog siblings during walks, but otherwise I’m an easy walking companion and can easily keep pace with a jogger.
I am friendly with other dogs, but because I have a strong prey drive, I’d do best in a home without cats or other small animals.
It’s nice that I'm crate-trained, housebroken, and a well-mannered guy overall. My biggest work-in-progress is my enthusiasm—I sometimes jump up when I’m excited, so I’d do best with children 13 and older and would benefit from someone willing to continue reinforcing good manners.
If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who’s always ready for your next adventure but is equally content relaxing at home afterward, I just might be your perfect match.
I can’t wait to meet my furever family!
