Meet missy

THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED.

Say hello to Missy! This Chihuahua/Poodle mix is a tiny little gremlin who loves snuggles, walks, and if her mohawk is any indication, punk music! She’s never asked us to play punk music, but she sure looks the part. Missy joined Wag N Train after her owner’s health declined and she could no longer care for her. After a few weeks in her foster home, Missy is now ready for adoption.

At 11 years young, she is looking for her very own retirement facility. Don’t let that number scare you away, Missy is spry, active and playful; you’d never guess she was in the double digits. Missy is potty trained, walks well on a leash, and is crate trained too. She can take a moment to warm up to strangers, but then she is begging for pets. She likes kids, but due to her size, her new family should have older kids. She’d be perfect for a retiree looking for a buddy as she’s quiet and snuggly. Not retired yet? That’s ok, she can hang out in her crate while you are at work. Once you get home, she will be ready for a walk and some play time.

She told us she’d really like you to hold her while watching your shows after dinner. She especially likes to tuck her head under your chin. Do think you can grant her wish? If so, apply today.

Please note: Missy should have been named Dora the Explorer because she LOVES to run and is a professional escape artist. Securely, and we mean Ft Knox, fenced yard is a firm requirement or else someone dedicated to leash walking her for potty breaks and exercise.

The suggested adoption donation for Missy is a minimum of $300 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information
