Meet kennelly
Tall, handsome, and brooding.
Kennelly was confused and sad like most dogs when they arrive. He looked like he walked out of his home and into a kennel. He was well fed, clean, and desperate to leave. Kennelly knows commands and melts into pets and praise. He is ready to say goodbye to his sadness but that will take a good home that loves him.
Chicago Animal Care and Control is located at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, and is open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm.
All dogs will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.
All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers).
We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s). Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
