Meet blowout

Blowout (Gus Gus) is seriously such a special little puppy. He may only be about 5 pounds, but you would never guess it with how confident he is. He carries himself like a much bigger dog and doesn’t let his tiny size slow him down one bit. More than anything, he just wants to love and be loved. He’s always giving kisses, snuggling in as close as he can, and following his people around so he doesn’t miss out on anything. He has a really playful, happy personality and absolutely loves being around other dogs. He plays hard with the other dogs, doing everything he can to keep up with them like he’s one of the big boys. It’s honestly so cute to watch because he puts his whole heart into it. He doesn’t give up and doesn’t seem to realize how small he is. That fearless attitude makes him a lot of fun, but it’s something that can be stressful since he’ll jump right into anything without hesitation. When he’s not playing, he’s usually trotting around exploring or just being his happy little self.

He loves his toys and bones, and that boy loves to eat! He barks like a maniac if he sees himself or anyone else in a mirror, it’s hilarious to watch! He’s curious about everything and already thinks he can do big things, like going up the stairs (with supervision), although going down is still a little too scary for him right now. He has the cutest little squishy face, complete with an adorable little black beard. Because his face is so small and smooshy, when he drinks water, he kind of dunks half his face in the bowl, leaving his little beard dripping and soaked, it’s the cutest thing ever. He also snores pretty loudly for such a tiny little guy. One of the best things about him is how he’s always walking around with his tongue hanging out like he’s smiling. He truly just seems so happy all the time, like he’s out here living his best little puppy life and enjoying every second of it. Overall, Gus Gus is a loving, playful, confident little guy with a big personality packed into a tiny body. He would do best in a home that will give him lots of love and attention and keep up with his playful energy. He would thrive in a home with another puppy/dog to snuggle, protect him and that he can follow around.

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.
