Sam is an adorable, 6-year-old, 18 lb Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua mix with a heart of gold and the sweetest little personality!

Sam had a loving home, but sadly his person became ill and could no longer care for him. Despite this big life change, Sam has remained a happy, well-adjusted, and loving pup who is ready to bring joy and laughter to his next forever family.

This charming little guy is a total social butterfly! He absolutely loves people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Sam thrives on companionship and is happiest when he’s with his humans, whether he’s curling up on your lap, burrowing under a cozy blanket, or trotting after you from room to room with his wagging tail and bright, loving eyes.

Sam is also potty trained, which makes the transition into his new home that much easier. He’s an easy, affectionate companion who simply wants to be loved and included in daily life.

Sam would do best in a home where he gets plenty of attention and companionship. Farfel's Rescue feels very strongly that every dog deserves the opportunity for formal, positive reinforcement / force-free training classes that are virtual or in-person. We therefore aren't willing to adopt Sam out to a home that doesn't choose to offer him this training opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved positive reinforcement / force-free virtual or in-person trainers in your area.

Sam has been fully vetted and vaccinated to adhere to Farfel's protocol of only adopting out healthy dogs. He has also been neutered to support Farfel's commitment to a future world where dogs are never euthanized for space.

Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog.
