Hopper is a sweet but sensitive little guy who takes a bit of time to warm up—but once he trusts you, he absolutely loves attention and being close to his people. He has a playful side and enjoys running around and having fun, especially when he feels comfortable in his environment. Hopper has previously lived with another dog and did very well, so he may enjoy having a canine companion again in his new home. Like many Chihuahuas, Hopper has a big personality for a small body—he can be vocal and expressive, and he definitely knows what he likes (and doesn’t like!). Cold weather is not his favorite, and he may refuse to go outside when temperatures drop.Hopper isn’t a fan of vet visits and will need some extra support, including pre-medication and a muzzle, to help keep him calm and safe during appointments.With a little patience at the start, Hopper will reward you with affection, companionship, and plenty of personality.No apartment buildings for Hopper.
