Meet boogie

Meet Boogie!

A charming three-and-a-half-year-old Dogo Argentino mix currently living in Glendora, CA, whose big heart is as prominent as his 90-pound frame, and whose white coat with bold black patches makes him a true standout.

Boogie’s story hasn’t been easy, but through it all, he’s held onto his gentle spirit and zest for life. Rescued from a tough situation and lifted into safety by a compassionate chain of humans, Boogie is now looking for his next adventure. A new loving home where he can be someone’s loyal hiking buddy, snuggle partner, and full-time best friend!

Playful and affectionate, Boogie has a goofy side that shines brightest when he’s splashing in the pool, chasing squeaky pig toys, or trying to wrap his giant paws around you in one of his signature full-body hugs! He’s a natural with older kids who can match his playful energy (and sturdy build), and he absolutely adores spending time with people. Whether it’s lounging on the couch or exploring the outdoors, he’s happiest when he’s by your side.

Boogie is dog-selective and has a history of aggression toward other dogs, including a quick bite during a past interaction. Because of this, Boogie needs to be the only pet in the home. Apartments wouldn’t be a suitable fit for this active boy and a fenced-in yard is recommended so he has a secure place to stretch his legs, play, and enjoy outdoor time.

Boogie is house-trained, neutered, and up-to-date on vaccinations. While he hasn’t had formal training, he knows “sit” and learns best through positive reinforcement, especially when snacks are involved! He’s fine being left alone for short periods but truly blossoms when he gets consistent human interaction and time to bond.

What makes Boogie unforgettable is his unwavering gratitude. He radiates love, even after all he’s been through. This big baby isn’t just looking for a place to stay, he’s looking for a new family to love, protect, and grow with.

Boogie’s family is also open to fostering as an option while he searches for his new family. Even better, his family will provide food and supplies for his adopters, helping make Boogie’s transition into his next chapter as comfortable and supported as possible!
