This is a program for dogs to build confidence and learn that the world is not so scary. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. - I am from a hoarding situation. I will likely need extra time to adjust to home life. I have lived with other dogs but have not socialized with many people. Things like walking on a leash and going through doorways can be challenging for me. Adopting me will be extremely rewarding, but I need time to learn.- I’m a shy dog and need someone willing to be patient with me.- Once I warm up, I`m described as sweet and easy-going.- Chews, Kong-like feeders, puzzle toys—help to keep me entertained!- I have displayed some touch sensitivities. Ask our staff for more info.- I do well with the dogs and the dog savvy cats that I live with in my foster home.- I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. My home needs are: - I must meet other dogs in the home before adoption to ensure that we can be buddies. - I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. - Wayside recommends that I have a fenced-in yard since I`m still a little nervous of new environments.- For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar.
