Medical Needs:  Her right eye ruptured at some point in her life. When she is under for her spay, the surgeon will explore what’s left of the eye and remove bad tissue. She will need to be fixed and her eye explored. This is scheduled for May 6th in Milford, DE, keeping this appointment is a condition of the adoption. It will not be moved, if you’re not willing to keep this appointment please do not apply. Applicants must live in Delaware, or with in 1 hour of where the appointment is scheduled to be eligible to adopt this dog.   Moderate arthritis in both back legs. Occasionally holds up rear leg when running but on a joint supplement currently.  Has allergies like a typical blue frenchie. Managed with Cytopoint. Positive for E. Canis. (Tick disease) but has been treated with a course of doxycycline

Housebroken: yes

Crate trained: yes

Good in the car: yes

Good on a leash: yes

Energy level: medium to low. Completely comfortable on the couch hanging out.

Dog Friendly: yes, however high value toys and treats should be kept separate when enjoying as she doesn’t quite like to share. Same goes for feeding times, she’s a little protective over what is hers.

Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? This little girl has been through it. With her one eyed self she doesn’t seem to take it personally. She has obviously had a few litters of puppies due to her having a c-section scar. Regardless of what she has been through, she takes it all in and is enjoying life now. She has quite of bit of medical issues that we are working out currently but that shouldn’t hold you back from welcoming her into your home. She is a complete angel. Sybil Sunflower came to get her name for several reasons. Sybil is an older name and this girl has an old soul for sure. She is always content. And sunflowers always find the light no matter the weather. She tends to lead with her good eye and moves her head to find people, to find the light, just like a sunflower.
