Roxie’s philosophy on life is pretty simple: 70% of the day is dedicated to elite-level napping, sunbathing, and back-scratching sessions in the grass, while the remaining 30% is pure, unadulterated fun. She is an outdoors girl through and through who loves sniffing along trails, heading out on daily 30-to-45-minute walks, and letting you know when she’s ready to unwind. (Fair warning: she loves shoes just as much as she loves walks, so a tidy closet is a must!)While she’s a champion free-roamer who happily snoozes on a cozy couch with some background TV noise while you`re out, Roxie is a high-energy gal at heart. Because she loves to run and stretch her legs, she needs to be the only pet in the home to soak up all your undivided attention. She would thrive best in a house with a fenced-in yard where she can zoom around freely—or, if you live in an apartment, a nearby fenced area is an absolute must to help her burn off steam. Like any fabulous diva, Roxie comes with a few charming quirks and training notes for her future human:Weather Reports: She is a sun-worshipper, but she is decidedly not a fan of thunderstorms. When lightning strikes, she likes to pace or find comfort in the closet (and she`ll take all the gentle patience and cuddles you can offer).House Training: She is a smart cookie who will literally show you her leash when she needs to go out! She had a few accidents, but almost all of them happened on two back-to-back storm days when she was too terrified to do her business outside, or right after she chugged a lake`s worth of water after a long walk.The Excitement Wiggles: When Roxie gets the post-walk zoomies, she plays rough, loves a good game of jump-and-bark, and occasionally gets so excited she tries to hump.
