Meet sasha
Sasha is a 10-year-old, 55 lb mixed breed we adopted from a rescue in Austin, TX in 2018. She is in good health. She previously recovered from heartworms before adoption with no lasting health issues. In Nov 2024 she was diagnosed with anal sac adenocarcinoma, but it was caught early and the tumor was removed; follow-ups have been clear.
Sasha is loyal, sensitive, and loves being close to her people. She does best in a calm home without small children. Since having young kids (3 yr old and 9 month old), her anxiety has increased and she has growled at the baby and shown some resource guarding. We currently keep her separated but she becomes distressed when isolated from her people.
She takes fluoxetine for anxiety and Apoquel for allergies. She tolerates other dogs but careful introduction would be needed before rehoming with other dogs. We love Sasha deeply and want to find her a quiet, safe home where she can feel relaxed and spend her senior years with consistent companionship.
