**Rescue ONLY**Grayson is an energetic, intelligent dog who is looking for a rescue partner willing to give him the structure and training he needs to succeed. While he can become overstimulated in the shelter environment, he has shown curiosity toward people and the ability to settle when given clear guidance, suggesting that he may benefit greatly from placement in a calmer, more structured setting.During handling, Grayson generally tolerated touch, including paw handling, though he can be a bit sensitive around his hind end. He initially pulled away during the SAFER look test but then allowed gentle handling and offered soft eye contact.Grayson is very social and enthusiastic with new people, often approaching quickly to investigate and interact. His excitement can lead to playful object grabbing (such as leashes or nearby items), so experienced handling and structured outlets for his energy will be important.He walks on leash but pulls strongly and has a tendency to bite the leash when bored, so current management includes the use of two metal leashes. With guidance and training, this behavior may improve as he learns appropriate outlets for engagement.In dog introductions, Grayson showed curiosity toward another dog. He became frustrated during fence interaction but calmed during a parallel walk and showed more relaxed, social interest, indicating potential for improvement with structured introductions and behavior work. At this time, however, he is recommended for a single-dog home.Grayson has shown minimal guarding behavior. He eats quickly and may resist being moved away from his bowl once engaged, but he tolerated petting while eating.
