Grizzly is a 3-year-old chocolate Lab weighing about 65–70 pounds who is ready to find his next chapter through a Foster-to-Adopt home. This handsome boy is playful, affectionate, and loves being around people. Whether he’s chasing a ball, carrying around his favorite Spider-Man plush toy, or hanging out with his humans, Grizzly enjoys being part of the action.
Grizzly is a friendly and social dog who greets people with enthusiasm and a wagging tail. He does great with children of all ages and enjoys their attention and playtime. He has also lived peacefully with a cat and has interacted well with other dogs, making him a good candidate for a home with a friendly playmate.
Playtime is where Grizzly really shines. He loves fetch, gets the occasional burst of zoomies when he’s excited, and enjoys going for walks and exploring. While he can pull on the leash at first, he walks using a harness and would benefit from continued leash training. After some activity, he’s happy to relax and settle in for some downtime.
Grizzly is highly food motivated, which makes him eager to learn and a great candidate for continued training. He already knows several commands including sit, stay, come and kennel. Like many curious Labs, he is also a bit of a food detective and will happily investigate trash cans or unattended snacks if given the opportunity.
Grizzly will be placed as a Foster-to-Adopt while LRGR completes his veterinary care. He will need:
Neuter surgery
Entropion eyelid surgery evaluation/treatment for inward eyelashes
Heartworm testing
All veterinary care related to these procedures will be covered by LRGR
Overall, Grizzly is a lovable, playful Lab who enjoys attention, toys, and being near his people. With a little structure, continued training, and an active family, he’s going to make a wonderful companion.
