Meet maize
Sweet Maize (May-zee) needs a lot of attention. Adopted her from a shelter and have worked on her anxiety issues. She has come a long way
She is good with cats and MOST dogs. One of our dogs is high energy and prone to aggression toward her. She deserves a safer space than we can provide.
She exhibits PTSD-like behavior and needs a calm place with a regular routine.
She is wary around men, and it takes a long time for her to accept them around..
She will not hurt kids, but the activity level may be a challenge for her.
She needs a very patient female around willing to get her integrated into a new environment.
She does okay on field trips with her person. Regular outings to regular places helps.
She has been here over a year, and we’ve learned her needs and her challenges. I will be picky about placement, and rehoming will be with the agreement that if she is not a good fit, she is returned to us (not a shelter) as we try again. Fee includes crate etc. so she has familiar items.
