Meet buddy

Buddy is a 13-year 12.5 pound eloquent and majestic crème color Pug Chihuahua. He is as soft and fluffy as a cotton ball. Buddy came to be a part of the CAWS family after surrendered to a local shelter. We knew something was wrong with his left eye so immediately got him to the vet and sure enough his eye had glaucoma. We scheduled this magnificent little man for eye enucleation and dental, he had numerous teeth extracted but he is doing great now, so brave, a new little man, whew. From his blood work we started him on thyroid medication he gets at night, will recheck in a couple weeks to see if this dose is correct. Thyroid medication is a relatively cheap medication for dogs, so that’s a good thing. Buddy is the most mild-mannered gentleman, totally house and crate trained, he is let outside to do his business on a regular basis and he doesn’t have to be in a crate very often, his foster family works from home. He is not a barker, actually quiet as a mouse. He curls up next to her 2-legged people for cuddles and sleeps with them at night, but he will sleep on a trampoline bed curled in a blanket as well. He is such a wonderful and charismatic gentleman, unique as can be. He gets along with all the other dogs in his foster home, male and female, big and small. Due to his age he needs to go to a home with older respectful children. We prefer he go to a home with a yard because he loves to linger outside and 2-legged people who work from home or can take him to work with them or retired so he is not alone. He does okay in a crate but we do not want him to live in a crate. If you can give this fabulous little man a safe and secure home with unconditional love, please fill out an application for a meet and greet. He oozes pure sweetness and joy. Buddy should have never ended up in a shelter but he crossed our path and so now will find his furever lasting home that he is so worthy of. He literally takes your breath away.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $100.
