Meet eddie
Meet Eddie—a gentle, people-loving Collie mix with a soft, easygoing personality. At 2 years old and 45 pounds, he’s the kind of dog who forms a strong bond with his person and is happiest simply being by your side. While he’s currently fostered with other dogs, they don’t interest him much—Eddie much prefers human companionship and would likely thrive as the only dog in the home.
Eddie enjoys a good game of fetch with ropes or balls, but he’s not over-the-top about it. A few fun tosses followed by relaxing nearby is more his speed. His calm, quiet nature makes him a great candidate for a variety of living situations, including apartment life.
He’s still picking up some basics and would benefit from continued training. Eddie is learning cues like “sit,” “stay,” and “down,” and is working on keeping his curiosity off the countertops when food is around. He can also be a bit protective of his toys and prefers to enjoy playtime on his own rather than share. With consistency and positive reinforcement, he’ll continue to make great progress.
In the home, Eddie is a relaxed and respectful companion. He settles easily, isn’t interested in climbing onto furniture, and may even be comfortable sleeping outside of a crate.
