Gamma is a 2.5 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix and is a very shy girl at first … yet with SO much love to give. It just takes some extra time and yummy treats, to let Gamma get comfortable with someone new. From there, her super sweet and gentle nature truly shines! This wonderful girl has a little burst of happy energy when first taken from her cage, but she quickly settles and enjoys the walk like a true companion.  Gamma politely greets other friendly dogs in adjacent play areas, and Gamma has even made instant friends with the shelter cats - what a good girl! Gamma has recently stayed in a foster home for a while to learn her house manners… and she certainly has! Her foster dad calls her a “most delightful delicate little soul”, adding that Gamma is house trained, perfect on a leash, and loves car rides. Gamma was also well-behaved with both his dog and cat, living peacefully with them inside his home, and sleeping quietly all night on her dog bed. This foster stay has helped bring Gamma out of her shyness some, so that she wags her tail to happily meet new people. And once she knows you, Gamma is a VERY loving and affectionate dog. One thing to note is that she was able to find a couple breaches in the shelter fencing and get out, so make sure your fence is secure for this smart girl. With her adorable expressive ears and a tail that wags nonstop when happy, Gamma has a way of making every moment feel brighter. What she’s really dreaming of is a forever home with a life full of simple joys, gentle adventures, and someone to love her always. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.
