Meet Finnley, a sweet four-year-old, 20 lb. Chihuahua /Border Collie who came to us as a surrender after his owner unexpectedly got evicted from her home. Despite the transition, he has remained the same affectionate, polite companion who just wants to be near his people.

Finnley is a wonderful listener and already knows several basic commands like sit, come, and even high five! He walks nicely on a leash and patiently stands while you put on his harness or coat before heading out for an adventure. He enjoys walks but is just as happy relaxing at home.

At home, Finnley is the perfect balance of playful and mellow. He loves squeaky toys, a good tennis ball toss, and lounging on the couch getting pets. His coat is incredibly soft, and he absolutely adores gentle affection from his humans. He’s also happy entertaining himself with toys when you’re busy.

Finnley has lived peacefully with five cats and currently lives respectfully with other dogs in his foster home. He prefers dogs of his own size (he will bark at larger ones) and being that he loves other pups, preference will be given to those who have a canine at home. Finnley has also done well meetings kids of all ages at events. He's a young boy so a senior adopter wouldn't be the best fit for him as he enjoys playtime and someone who can be active with him.

Finnley can be a bit of a picky eater and isn’t very food motivated, so he’s looking for an adopter who will be patient while finding foods he enjoys. One of his adorable quirks is that he prefers to eat when his humans are nearby—he especially likes having dinner while his people are at the table. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion who enjoys both cozy couch time and peaceful walks, Finnley might just be your perfect match.
