Meet panther

Panther is a soft, sweet velcro girl who loves being near her people but settles beautifully when left alone. She’s house-trained, signals clearly when she needs to go out, and relaxes calmly in the home — no separation anxiety, no destruction, just a cozy nap in her chosen spot. She’s fantastic with kids and great with other dogs. Panther lived with kids in her previous home and gently approached a pair of young children for pets and snuggles in foster, and she enjoys respectful play with canine friends. She’d thrive with another dog who likes chase or goofy wrestling.Panther can be shy with new adults at first, especially with sudden movements, but she warms up quickly and bonds deeply. Once she trusts you, she’s affectionate, loyal, and loves being your little shadow. On walks, she checks in like a classic shepherd, has no reactivity, and is already improving her leash skills. She loves exploring trails and would be thrilled to have space to zoom once she’s fully settled. If you’re looking for a loving, gentle, kid-friendly companion who plays well, settles easily, and sticks close to her people, Panther might be your perfect match. The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.
