Meet Billie Bear! This sweet girl truly could not be a more perfect pup.
Billie ended up in the shelter system when her family could no longer care for her. She made her way to us, and her personality began to shine the minute we started addressing her medical needs. Billie moves through her foster home with confidence, quiet and easy in a way that makes everything feel calmer.
Billie's favorite thing in life is being with her people. She loves riding in the car and going on an adventure. Even if she doesn't know where she's going, she's thrilled to be tagging along. She also loves going for walks, snuggling up with her person, and greeting them like a long lost friend every time they come home. She is housetrained, leash-trained, and sleeps peacfully through the night. She doesn't mind staying home while her people are out. Billie doesn’t bark and she’s even wonderfully tolerant of grooming. We told you she is perfect!
Every now and then she’ll get the zoomies, soft little bursts of joy that come and go as quickly as they start. Most of the time, she’s happiest just being nearby. Not glued to you, not asking for constant attention - just keeping you company in that steady, peaceful way that’s hard to put into words but easy to love.
Billie is on a weight loss journey and gets excited for meals (she's on a urinary diet), but she waits so politely without any hooting or hollering ~ just a hopeful little presence who knows her turn is coming. Her adopter will need to be dedicated to helping her reach and maintain a healthy weight.
