Meet tango
I rescued Tango from the Oakland County shelter in 2024. He is a great dog, very smart, friendly, and sweet. He loves squeaky toys, very food and treat motivated. He knows commands: sit, heel, down, roll over, paw, turn around and is crate trained. He’s been to multiple training classes for manners and a board and train program. He’s a good listener although still reactive when he’s too excited. Truly an amazing dog. Our problem: separation anxiety. Living in an apartment community, he makes so much noise when I leave. He has hurt himself and been destructive in the home due to the stress. I work outside the home so I cannot stay there 24/7. He would benefit from a home with a dog sibling or someone who is home more often or able to take him places with you. I have tried all that I can reasonably do and afford to try to manage this. Even prescription calming medication. He’s an amazing dog but I don’t have the living situation suitable for his needs.
