We typically respond within 24 hours if you do not hear from us after completing the application please send us an email adopt@almosthmenm.org   DOB 11/30/2022 – About 8.5 lbs History: Zeus was a transfer from a local shelter. He supposedly bit his original owner though we do not know the circumstances. So far he has been with us for about a month and he is the absolute sweetest little doll ever. He is a little fearful sometimes with strangers and will bark but overall he is just the sweetest little guy ever. Zeus is crate trained, great with some children, loves the cats, and is ok with other dogs but prefers cats. Zeus is such an easy, smart little boy who just loves attention. He enjoys sitting with his loved one on the couch, following the cats around, or walking around outside though the outside is very short lived as he prefers the indoors. He doesn't mark/lift his leg indoors and he doesn't beg for food. He is just a really really nice little boy. He has been with my granddaughters and seems to tolerate them but he seems a little weary of children.   Zeus would be a wonderful addition to any family wanting a quiet, happy, sweet little boy who would love to curl up on a sofa to hang out and watch tv with. He seems to enjoy smaller dogs like himself and absolutely loves the cats..   He would do best with a loving family and lots of cuddle time on the couch with his loved ones. Get your application in quickly as this cutie will be snatched up in a heart beat!!   Neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations. Please be aware he is shaved down due to severe matting but had very long fine hair.  Adoption Fee $250 We do welcome out-of-state adoptions. Adopters must make arrangements to come out to meet and complete the adoption. If you have other dogs it is recommended you bring them out to to the meeting.  Steps for adoption: Read bio, complete the application, once approved you will receive an email asking you when you would like to come out to meet the pet, we will schedule an appointment, and then directions will be emailed to you. Adoption fees are cash only.   If you would like to provide toys and snacks for the dogs in our care while they wait for their happily ever afters we would truly appreciate it.
