Meet skipper
Meet Skipper — our 8-year-old, 54-pound red merle gentleman with the endlessly wiggling nub. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, potty trained, and knows his basics. He’s great with older, respectful children, wonderful with other dogs (a daycare and boarding star), groomer-approved, and happiest when he’s near his people. Medium energy with a built-in off switch, he’s just as content hiking as he is sleeping beside your bed. Petting, however, is non-negotiable.
Skipper is an owner surrender. His family loves him deeply and this was not an easy decision, but life circumstances shifted and they could no longer give him the time and consistency he deserves. This is simply about giving Skipper more — more walks, more adventures, and more attention.
He is also a medical foster-to-adopt. About a year ago, he was diagnosed with a non-cancerous colon mass. He’s had a full workup, remains happy and active, and may occasionally have some blood in his stool. Medical records are available, and ARMA will support any tests and treatment needed to ensure his health prior to adoption.
His ideal home would include someone who enjoys daily walks or hikes, kids 7+, and maybe even another friendly dog (though that’s not required). Mostly, he needs people who appreciate a loyal shadow with a constantly wiggling nub and a big, generous heart.
