Meet jasper
We adopted Jasper in 2019 and were told he was 10 months but he was probably already closer to 3 years old. He came from a shelter in Texas into our home in NYC. We are a mom and 2 kids and Jasper adjusted really well at first. To this day he loves to kiss and snuggle with his humans all day! He doesn’t enjoy dog toys but he does enjoy eating and running in the snow. He is very laid back and sleeps most of the day, not very active. Here is the problem: around 5 years ago he started becoming anxious, maybe depressed (per his vet). He never bit, but he’d snap more and more at strangers. Then last year he started snapping at my kids and as of now, he is showing full aggression towards my 13 year old daughter. We are heartbroken to part ways but I need to keep my kids safe and they are often alone with him. Jasper doesn’t deserve to be put in a cage 24/7. I am looking for a home for him with an experienced adopter who can handle an anxious dog.
