Meet bear
Bear is a 3-4yr old Pit Bull mix who was rescued from BARCS. He is a velco dog who needs lots of love and belly rubs! Food driven, house broken, protective and so lovable. He has trust issues in the beginning, not liking to be approached by strangers. Doesn't like people to reach out a hand or pet him on the head when meeting and will bark at them but eventually warms up if you ignore him. He needs an experienced owner who can handle his 70lb frame, continue training him and exposing him to new environments. He loves to play with other dogs but can be an aggressive player. He knows many commands (sit, stay, gentle, down, paw, go, crate, leave it) and will learn quickly if food is involved. If you're looking for a dog to keep your home safe while you're away, he's it! He loves a good round of tug with any rope, lots of treats and will bring it to you to play. Affectionally called "Care Bear" he will melt your heart once you win his trust.
