Meet leilani snuggles the professional cuddle bug
Some dogs are adventurers, some are independent spirits… and then there’s Leilani Snuggles, who was quite clearly born to be someone’s lap dog. Hence the reasoning for her name. From the moment you meet her, all she wants is to be close. Leaning into you for affection, soaking up pets like they’re her favorite thing in the world, and reminding you just how special it feels to be loved by a dog who truly adores her people. Leilani doesn’t just like affection, she thrives on it. Snuggles, couch time, quiet moments together… that’s her love language.
She has the sweetest, most comforting presence, the kind that makes you naturally slow down and stay a little longer on the couch because she’s curled up beside you. Equal parts cuddle bug and happy companion, Leilani simply loves to love. Whether she’s resting her head gently on you or following you from room to room just to be near, she makes it clear that her favorite place in the world is wherever her person happens to be.

Leilani Snuggles is believed to be a Pittie mix approximately 1 years old and currently weighs 48 lbs. Don't let her pictures fool you, she's tiny, y'all, and the perfect petite size. Not too big, not too small, she’s just the right size. She also has a gorgeous coat that may come across as all black but in the sun you can see she actually has a deep rich chocolate brown coat and is extremely soft. Like a bunny almost! Leilani is a rescue dog and, with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age.
It’s a given this bundle of joy is absolutely adorable and such a happy gal, but she is so much more than that. She loves every person she meets and truly knows no stranger! Connections with her are instantaneous. When people first meet her, they immediately comment on how adorable and friendly she is. The most common phrase used by everyone who meets her is something along the lines of how sweet and friendly she is. Leilani is such a go-with-the-flow type of girly who is happy regardless of where she is or who she is with. It’s almost impossible not to immediately fall for her friendly and goofy personality.
Leilani is very dog friendly and loves to make friends with other dogs. She has been around dogs with all different temperaments, from large dominant males to submissive quiet ladies and playful party pups. Leilani loves making new friends and has the best time romping around, playing chase, sharing toys, and also relaxing with her pals. She would do great in a home with another dog that enjoys the company of other dogs, likes to engage in lighthearted games of chase, and wants a pal to explore with.
Leilani also met our house cat, Biggie, and handled the introduction beautifully. She was respectful and appropriate, did not chase Biggie, and wasn’t bothered by his typical cat behavior. Biggie also felt comfortable around her. We do not know if she has ever lived in a home with a cat before, as this was our first time seeing her with one. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange a kitty sleepover upon request, just let us know!
When it comes to training, Leilani loves treats and will do anything for a tasty snack! She already knows how to sit and does so on command, walks well on a leash, and is crate and potty trained too. She would be a great dog to take with you on walks at the park, will be your backyard patio hangout girly, and your snuggly princess at the end of the day. Her ideal home would have a backyard where she can zoom around, play with her toys, and sunbathe during those beautiful days.
She also has the potential to thrive in an apartment or condo. She loves people and is a true social butterfly, so if you’re someone who enjoys hosting or having friends over for backyard BBQs, Leilani will happily be right in the middle of all the fun. We’re pretty sure she’ll become one of the main talking points in every conversation, too. We have not seen Leilani with kids just yet and we can certainly test that for you. Based off what we already know about her, we believe she has the potential to make a great family dog.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!
We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.
