For the well-being of our dogs, our kennels are closed to the public for general viewing. If you are interested in one of our dogs, please call 1-800-452-0114 for more information or stop by our shelters 12:00pm- 4:30pm, 7 days a week and speak to one of our adoption counselors.~ I would like to be the only dog in the home. ~ I have not had much experience with cats. I may be willing to share my home with a feline (pending introduction).~ I can live in a single family home. I may be vocal when alone, therefore homes where neighbors are close by may not be well suited.~ I want to live with adults who are experienced with dogs.~ I have my moments of energy and need to get some exercise every day.~ I am a great dog with lots of potential. I would do best with a family who has owned small dogs before.Hi, I’m Buddy! I’m a 6-year-old Havanese weighing 15.8 lbs, with a handsome black coat and distinguished white beard. I’m a simple guy who enjoys the simple things in life—eat, sleep, play, repeat. I was surrendered after my owner fell on hard times, and while that’s been a big change, I`m ready for a fresh start with the right family. I have a mostly calm but playful personality. When I meet new people, I might be indifferent at first—or I might be happy to say hello! I have a medium energy and vocal level and may bark when left alone. Because of that, I`m looking for a single-family home rather than one with close neighbors who may not appreciate my opinionated ways. I’m house and pee pad trained and know lots of tricks—sit, stay, lay down, paw, and even “I love you”! I enjoy squeaky and rope toys, and I love looking out the car window on rides. I don’t have experience with cats, and may prefer to avoid other dogs. I would do best with experienced adult owners, ideally those who have had small dogs before and can give me daily exercise, structure, and lots of love.
