Meet scoot
Scoot is spunky & has a great spirit. At home he normally has good house manners. He is curious, smart, eager to learn, and a star with the trainers, but needs a lot of structure and mental stimulation. He is good with dogs at the park, and has learned to coexist with other dogs in their space, but takes time to learn its okay.
Before me, he was a stray (picked up by the humane society), so he has issues with reactivity. He walks on lead well, but barks & lunges if dogs get too close. Over time he has improved a lot here, but will need continued training around this.
He is very sensitive to being touched, especially by new people. He does bond quickly if you are gentle and engage with him on his level, but has nipped in the past when people don't respect his boundaries. He barks when people come to the house, but settles down shortly with treats and play.
In a patient home with space, structure, and more time than I can give him, he will be a fantastic dog.
