Hi. I’m Dexter 💙 I’m 2 years old boy, that will have the built of a linebacker once I grocery shop a little more! Im powered by zoomies, and currently trying out for the Astros during spring training ⚾️ So if you’ve got a good pitching arm, we’re going to get along just fine 🧢 I’ve got speed, enthusiasm, and absolutely no brakes 🫷

I don’t totally understand how big I am yet. If I fits, I sit ☺️ And if I don’t fit, I still sit 🫣 Tables, plant pots, and anything decorative are living on borrowed time 🫣 I try to fold myself into spaces clearly made for dogs half my size ☺️ I call it talent!

But here’s the real me 😌

I’m actually a big, goofy, sweet boy who just wants his person. Once I know you’re mine, I will love you with everything I’ve got🥰. I have light brown eyes that will melt your heart, and when I relax, I sit like a frog 🐸 . It’s adorable I know it.

I do need someone experienced with Rotties or other strong breeds because I’m smart 🧠 and strong and still learning 📖 I didn’t always have enough food, so at mealtime I eat like it might disappear 🫥 We’re working on my manners, and I’m trying really hard. When you’ve been hungry, you learn to move fast 💨

I’m also rebuilding trust. If someone approaches too quickly or comes toward me with objects in their hands, I can get unsure and get nervous 😬 my rumble might come out and not because I’m mean. It’s because I’m still learning that I’m safe now. I need a patient, steady hand who will give me time and consistency. 🥹

I’m still gaining weight because I came in skin and bones 🦴 I was failed more than once, but I haven’t given up on people. I believe my family is out there. I’d do best in a home without young kids or older adults because sometimes my excitement comes in hot and I forget about things like personal space and stopping 🫷

What I really want is a loving, experienced Rottweiler family who understands big boys and even bigger hearts 💕 Someone who will give me structure, patience, and a real chance. In return, you’ll get the silliest, most loyal, ball chasing, frog sitting best friend you could ever ask for 🥰

I promise to guard your house, warm your couch, and love you with my whole giant heart. 💙
