Meet Bear also known as Mr Handsome! This beautiful, cuddly and lovable German Shepherd possibly Australian Shepherd mix ris an absolute sweetheart that loves people, kids and other dogs. At only 9 months old and 47 pounds, he found his way to Haven Animal Rescue Nebraska after he was dumped at the gas station in the freezing temperatures. Luckily a wonderful woman took him home and contacted us. He is currently doing fantastic in foster and loves to please! Bear enjoys training and is very smart. He now knows sit, down and is doing well on crate training too!  He's an open book just waiting for someone to show him how wonderful life can be. What makes Bear happy? Lots of love and affection and you can bet he is happy to reciprocate right back! Reassurance is also high on his list as he may not have had the best previous life so needs confidence. They must all be trained with positive reward based training and all are all up to date with vaccinations, altered, microchipped, HeartWorm tested, and on preventatives. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals.
