Meet ophelia
Ophelia is a very sweet girl, but there are 2 things influencing our difficult decision to try to re-home her:
1-When we downsized last fall we no longer have a big fenced yard and she's simply too big and strong (and headstrong) for my wife to safely walk her and my wife has some health issues such that we simply don't want to risk her doing dog walks and getting pulled down.
2-Multiple people in the extended family don't completely trust her around our toddler granddaughter. She's never bitten, but she has sort of snarled inappropriately. She gets along totally fine with adults and larger kids (like our elementary school age grandkids) and other dogs and it's a bit of a mystery to us because every dog we've ever had previously knows how to deal with toddlers and be patient with 'human puppies'. We're erring on the side of caution and respecting the wishes of the toddler's mother.
