Roush is a handsome gentleman with the sweetest snowy face and a calm, loving demeanor that’s impossible to resist. He enjoys leisurely strolls and walks beautifully on leash. Roush already knows “sit” and will offer his paw right away — because why stop at one good trick? He soaks up pets and chin scratches, and in return, he’ll happily shower you with kisses (especially if treats are involved).He appears to be housetrained and has done well with children at the shelter. In his kennel, he may be a little vocal when someone walks by — he just doesn’t want to be overlooked. But ask to meet him outside, and you’ll see his true personality shine. Roush is a gentle, affectionate boy who deserves a loving home where he can trade kennel walls for cozy naps and daily strolls with his very own family.Roush is currently spending some time in a short-term foster home, where he has been showing what a wonderful and easy companion he is. His foster reports that Roush is house trained and has settled nicely into a routine. When left alone, Roush relaxes comfortably and spends his time lounging on the bed, content to snooze the day away until his people return. He has proven to be very trustworthy and calm when home alone.On walks, Roush does well on leash and enjoys getting out to explore. He may pause to watch people or other dogs passing by, but he is easily redirected and continues on his way. He recently took a trip to Petco and enjoyed strolling around and sniffing all the interesting new smells. Roush already knows “sit” and “paw,” and his foster describes him as a very cuddly boy who sometimes thinks he’s a lap dog. While he hasn’t shown much interest in toys so far, he more than makes up for it with his love of companionship and snuggles.With his medium-to-low energy level and easygoing personality, Roush is a relaxed, affectionate companion who enjoys spending time close to his people. His foster describes him as super cuddly, content, and simply a joy to have around.Roush has met other dogs at the shelter, he does best with tolerant friends and will need to meet any potential doggie roommates to make sure they are a good match.Roush is currently in the comfort of a foster home.
