While I may look confident and sturdy on the outside, I’m actually a thoughtful, easily overstimulated guy who does best in a calm, predictable environment.Shelter life has been overwhelming for me. The noise and constant activity can be stressful, and when I feel overstimulated, I can become anxious. In a quiet home where I feel safe, my true personality shines — affectionate, devoted, and deeply bonded to my people.Because of my sensitive nature, I need an experienced dog owner who understands canine body language and can advocate for me. Quick movements over my head or being abruptly woken from sleep can startle me, so I do best with slow, gentle handling and respectful interactions. Giving me space when I’m resting and approaching me calmly helps me feel secure.For everyone’s safety and comfort, I need:• An adult-only home• No cats• A calm household with predictable routines• A securely fenced yard (I can be an escape artist if I get anxious)In the right environment, I am incredibly loyal and loving.
