Hello Hoomans:
My name is Toby and I am a male member of the Loyal 8. We were 8 individual dogs who lived together with our hooman. We belonged to someone and had a home. One day, our hooman didn’t come home as usual. Our hooman didn’t come home the following days either. So, we did what good dogs do; we stayed; we watched; we waited. At last, a kind family came to us and told us our hooman had passed away and we could now “stand down“. Our job there was done. It was time for us to leave and find other hoomans to watch over and help and love.

My companions and I are all medium sized, mixed breeds. You know, nothing fancy. I weigh not more than 25lbs and am black, tan and yellow (some call it fawn) in color. I’m not sure about my age, but the nice people here at Golden Paws Rescue estimate that I am about 3 years old.

I love to play and I love affection and attention. All I need is a new hooman companion and a forever home and I will be the dog you have always dreamed about.

So, what do you say? I have had all my shots, have been neutered and I’m ready to go. Just look at my picture. Don’t I look like a dog you would love to cuddle and play with?
