Cornbread is a gentle, sweet girl who was found as a stray alongside another dog, so while her past is a mystery, her time with people has helped us learn just how special she is. She can be shy with new people and may need a little time to feel safe, but with patience, tasty treats, and plenty of kindness she begins to blossom and show her affectionate side.
Cornbread absolutely loves other dogs and gains confidence from having canine friends around. She enjoys playtime and can be a bit of a goofy, playful puppy at times, especially during her evening bursts of energy. In her foster home she has been learning the ins and outs of living with another dog and has done well overall, though she may sometimes get a little overexcited during play and benefits from guidance and short breaks to help her settle.
She’s also learning good manners around shared resources. Cornbread has shown that she may prefer her special items, like toys, to herself when indoors, so her foster family manages this by keeping toys picked up when dogs are together and feeding separately—simple steps that help everyone coexist peacefully.
